About the driving school

A driving school that cares about you and the environment

Hållbara Trafikskolan started with a simple idea: getting a driving licence should feel safe and personal, and be as sustainable as possible. That is why we only drive electric cars and teach in automatics. The cars are easy to drive, quiet and have no direct emissions.

We want to make roads safer and help build a more sustainable future at the same time. Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something. Together we make a difference.

How it works

From your first booking to your licence

This is what the way to your licence looks like with us.

Step 01
Apply for a learner's permit
Before you can practise driving, you need a learner's permit (körkortstillstånd) from the Swedish Transport Agency. You apply online, and it usually takes about a week.

Book a trial lesson
We start with a driving lesson where we see where you are today. Then you and your instructor make a plan for the rest of your training.

Practise driving and theory
You book driving lessons at a pace that suits you and study theory in Trafikskola Online. We are here to answer questions along the way.
Step 04
Risk 1, Risk 2 and the driving test
When you are ready, we book Risk 1, Risk 2 and your driving test. If you want, we help you book a warm-up lesson and borrow a car for the test day.

Tog körkortet idag och vill framför allt tacka Göran på Hållbara Trafikskola för denna prestation! Han tar verkligen sin tid för att gå igenom varje detalj och förklarar inte bara hur man ska göra, utan också varför saker och ting är som de är. Samtidigt får han en att själv reflektera och tänka, vilket verkligen har hjälpt mig att utvecklas som förare. Man märker verkligen att han vill att man ska lyckas och att han tycker om det han gör. Dessutom är han en väldigt pratglad och trevlig person, så körlektionerna blev aldrig tråkiga! Stort tack för all hjälp, Göran! 🙌 Mvh, Maryam

Jag gick från att halvdant kunna manövrera en bil, till att klara uppkörningen på ett få tal lektioner. Utvecklingskruvan är brant och konsekvent, speciellt med Göran som lärare. En rolig och mycket pedagogisk kille som gjorde mig taggad inför varje körlektion.

Jag kan varmt rekommendera Göran och Hållbara trafikskolan till alla som vill ta sitt körkort i en trygg, personanpassad och pedagogisk miljö. Att övningsköra kan lugnt sagt kännas frustrerande och helt hopplöst ibland och då är det guld värt med en lärare som Göran som tålmodigt kan få en tillbaka på rätt bana.

Tog mitt körkort med fantastiska Göran. Med Göran som lärare får du ett sällan skådat lugn bakom ratten, han ger dig den tryggheten man ofta känner sig osäker på inför att börja övningsköra. Han är väldigt pedagogisk och man kan samtala om allt på vägarna vilket gör att det känns väldigt avslappnat och ROLIGT bakom ratten. Lektionerna går väldigt fort om man längtar till nästa. Kan mer än varmt rekommendera Hållbara Trafikskolan för alla. Här blir vägen till körkorten inte bara lärorik utan också full med härliga samtal, skratt och glädje. Tack Göran för denna fantastiska tid!

Driving instructor and CEO
Göran has many years of experience as a driving instructor. He started Hållbara Trafikskolan to offer a personal and sustainable way to a driving licence.
He teaches in Swedish and English. For him, the most important thing is that every student feels safe, whether it is the first lesson or the day before the driving test.

How do I book a driving lesson?

You book directly in our calendar in the web shop. There you see free times and can choose a lesson or a package. If you have questions before you book, you are welcome to contact us.

Do I need a learner's permit before I start?

Yes. You need a learner's permit from the Swedish Transport Agency before you can practise driving. Apply online and expect it to take a few weeks. If you have a vision defect, you also need an eyesight certificate.

Are the cars manual or automatic?

We only use electric cars with automatic transmission: the Volkswagen ID.3. An automatic makes it easier to focus on the traffic, and the electric car is quiet and easy to drive.

What do the packages include?

Our packages include driving lessons, theory material in Trafikskola Online, Risk 1 and Risk 2. The number of lessons differs between the packages. See the price list for exactly what is included.

What are Risk 1 and Risk 2?

Risk 1 and Risk 2 are mandatory parts of the licence training. Risk 1 is 180 minutes at the driving school and is about risky behaviour. Risk 2 is 240 minutes on the Stora Holm skid track, where you learn how the car behaves on slippery roads. Read more about Risk 1 and Risk 2.

Can I practise privately at the same time?

Yes, many students combine private practice with lessons with us. Since 1 August 2026, no supervisor course is needed, but the supervisor must be approved by the Swedish Transport Agency. If you want a safe start, we offer supervisor coaching.
